I find the history of the canal’s extremely interesting, especially the ‘Leeds and Liverpool’ being a Yorkshire Lass….   I have also learned a lot about the history through joining ‘The Leeds and Liverpool Canal Society’ who produce a very informative quarterly magazine and hold lectures etc about the canal’s history and environment.  www.llcs.org.uk
