Leeds Waterfront Festival

Friday 16 July 2010

Set off for the Leeds Waterfront Festival, moored just above Knostrop Lock Friday evening, it was ok, nice and quiet.

Saturday 17 July 2010

A bit of a blustery, showery day but with the odd bit of sunshine.

Set off into Leeds and moored at our marked space in Clarence Dock.  Although we had a good day, I don’t think it was advertised enough so it wasn’t buzzing.  A lot of people didn’t even know the festival was on .  We did have a good day and a really good evening and managed to get a tour of ‘Kennet’.  Pam, Natalie and James came to join us for the afternoon and we enjoyed a brilliant take away meal from ‘Mumtaz’.  Excellent value and absolutely gorgeous food.

If the weather had been better, I am sure more people would have attended, however it was rather blustery at times!

I went to the BW toilets near the Armouries and to my horror found 5 empty handbags and 3 empty purses in one of the toilets.  Needless to say the police were informed.  A word of warning to fellow boaters, be aware around this area!!!

As we had seen most stalls yesterday, had a look round the armouries and then set off back.  Stopped off at ‘Thwaite Mills on the way back, it was really interesting.
